Lamborghini Genesis in the Bertone collection in Milan

The Lamborghini Genesis is a style study presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1988 . The name comes from ancient Greek and means something like "origin" or "development"

The design by Nuccio Bertone should represent a harmonious combination of sports car and van. Particularly noticeable on the Genesis is the oversized panoramic windshield, which, together with the front doors, opens similarly to butterfly doors . In profile, Bertone tried to create a wedge shape to make the car look more dynamic. He did this with the help of a horizontal, slightly sloping line that divided the side window areas.

The engine of the Genesis is installed in the mid-engine position and originally comes from the Lamborghini Countach Quattrovalvole . The chassis comes from the Lamborghini Espada . This chassis made a wheelbase of only 2.65 m possible. The length of the Genesis is 4.68 m, the height 1.52 m and the width exactly 2 m. Only one copy of the Genesis was built.
