The Lamborghini Veneno is a super sports car that was presented as a coupé on March 5, 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show . The occasion is the 50th anniversary of the Automobili Lamborghini brand .

The model designation comes from - the old Lamborghini tradition accordingly - from a Spanish fighting bull named Veneno , which in 1914 the bullfighter José Sánchez Rodríguez during a bullfight in the arena of Sanlucar de Barrameda killed.

Lamborghini Veneno Coupe

The Veneno is based on the Aventador , whose twelve-cylinder engine is used with a power increase of 37 kW. The Veneno therefore has an output of 552 kW (751 hp). By using carbon fiber and lightweight components, the weight has been reduced by 125 kg to 1450 kg compared to the Aventador. As a result, the power-to-weight ratio is 1.93 kg / hp. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is specified with 2.8 seconds and the top speed with 355 km / h. The number of units of this concept car is limited to three copies. The price for a Veneno is 3 million euros (excluding VAT).

There are a total of four copies of the car. Lamborghini kept one for itself, so only three were ever for sale. They are all painted dark gray and have the accents on the wheels and diffusers in a different color. The three colors of the Italian flag were chosen as colors, i.e. red, green and white. The first Veneno, the red one, belongs to the owner of Lamborghini Long Island. The second / green one belongs to the American businessman Kris Singh from Miami, who owns other rare cars like the Pagani Huayra "La Monza Lisa" and a 50th Anniversary Aventador Roadster. The owner of the white and last copy is a businessman from Bavaria. He bought the Lamborghini from the previous owner in Hong Kong, whose name is not known. The price paid is unknown.

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster

On December 1, 2015, Lamborghini publicly presented the Veneno Roadster on the Italian aircraft carrier Cavour in Abu Dhabi. This super sports car is limited to nine copies. The performance of the Roadster corresponds to that of the Coupé, but the Cabriolet takes 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h, a tenth of a second longer. The main reason for this is the higher mass, the roadster weighs 50 kilograms more than the coupé. The Veneno Roadster has no roof. The bonnet is also different from that of the closed model. The purchase price of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is 3.3 million euros (excluding taxes).
