The State Office for Civil and Regulatory Affairs is a higher state authority with around 700 employees and ten locations in the State of Berlin . The authority performs tasks in the form of services and regulatory tasks in the areas of compensation for Nazi injustice , civil status and residents, and motor vehicles . It is subordinate to the Senate Department for Home Affairs and Sport .

founding

The State Office for Citizens and Regulatory Affairs emerged from the State Inhabitant Office (LEA) in 2005. The reason for the establishment was the reorganization of the state offices in the division of the Senate Administrations for Interior and Transport . This restructuring took place due to the personnel savings of 20% decided by the Senate.

Projects

The LABO was able to implement a number of projects in the 2016 reporting period. A current challenge is the introduction of electronic files (e-files).
