Regional association of riding and driving clubs Hamburg
The Landesverband der Reit- und Fahrvereine Hamburg eV is the umbrella organization of the riding and driving clubs, the horse breeding clubs and the riding and driving schools recognized by the FN in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg .
In addition, clubs and companies from the vicinity of Hamburg also belong to the regional association, for example from Norderstedt or Reinbek .
The association represents the interests of its members within the German Equestrian Association (FN) and towards public bodies.
The regional association was founded in 1925. The entry in the Hamburg register of associations took place in 1927. The first chairman of the regional association was Wilhelm Cuno .
At the beginning of the 21st century, around 8,500 riders were active in 65 riding clubs and 27 riding schools in Hamburg .

The regional association of riding and driving clubs Hamburg eV supports
- the training of riders and horses for the purpose of equestrian sport
- the latitude and competitive sport in all disciplines of equestrian sport
- the therapeutic riding
- the testing of German horses and horse breeding
- the animal welfare
- the nature and environmental protection and landscape maintenance .
The Hamburg regional association is involved in the Vorreiter Deutschland initiative launched by the FN and regional sports associations in 2010 .
