Joachim Kalka

Joachim Kalka (* 1948 in Stuttgart ) is a German writer and translator .

life and work

Joachim Kalka has been publishing essayistic articles in literary and theory journals since 1976 . His main job has been a translator of literary texts and non-fiction books from English and French since the 1980s. He lives in Leipzig.

Joachim Kalka has been a member of the German Academy for Language and Poetry in Darmstadt since 1997 , of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts in Munich since 2009 and sits on the board of trustees of the Academy for Spoken Word in Stuttgart.
