Landry Mulemo (* 17th September 1986 in Kinshasa ) is a Belgian footballer with Congolese origin.
Career
Mulemo started his career at Standard Liège at the age of four after coming to Belgium with his parents . From 1992 to 1995 he played in the youth team of FC Flamelle before returning to Liège .
In 2004 he was brought into the first team's squad and awarded to VV St. Truiden . In its first full season, the club was 14. In the following seasons, which it was loaned to Sint-Truiden , the club was 15. For the 2007/08 season he returned to Standard and was able to play at European club level straight away: In of the UEFA Cup qualification, Mulemo came into play against the representative from Luxembourg UN Käerjeng in the 85th minute for Marcos Camozzato . The game in Luxembourg was won 3-0. The team became champions and won the Supercup. In 2008/09 these two titles were defended.
After the relatively disappointing championship in 2009/10 with eighth place and second place in Group B for the Europa League play-off and reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League , Mulemo moved to Bucaspor in Turkey in the summer of 2010 . There he was able to fight for a regular place. However, his contract was terminated in April.
In July 2011 he trained with the German Bundesliga promoted FC Augsburg , but received no contract. Eventually he returned to Belgium and signed with KV Kortrijk . This was followed by other positions at Beitar Jerusalem , Kaposvári Rákóczi FC , again KV Kortrijk and KS Vllaznia Shkodra .
Mulemo was most recently under contract with FC Birkirkara in Malta in 2017 and has been without a club since then.
National team
Mulemo completed a total of 27 games in five years for various Belgian youth national teams and scored one goal. He took part in the 2007 European Under-21 Football Championship in the Netherlands . His only appearance was in the group game against the Netherlands , in which the left defender came on for Sébastien Pocognoli in the 87th minute. The game in Heerenveen ended 2-2. Belgium was eliminated in the semifinals against Serbia . Mulemo was also in the squad for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . There he was used in five out of six encounters. Belgium lost the game for third place in Shanghai against Brazil 3-0.
From 2011 to 2013 he played eleven games for the senior national team in his home country DR Congo .
