Landscape protection area Loburger Vorflaming

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The protected landscape area Loburger Vorfläming is located northwest of Loburg , a place of the unified municipality of Möckern in the district of Jerichower Land in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The 2448.86 hectare protected area is located in the northern parts of the Loburg and Zeppernick districts . It is almost completely part of the western Fläming plateau , a heather and grassland forest landscape. Only a small portion in the southwest of the protected area west of Zeppernick extends to the Zerbster Land , an open cultural landscape characterized by arable fields . The northern border of the area and the watershed line between the Havel in the north and the Elbe in the south run here in an east-west direction and cross several times.

The borders of Loburger Vorflming in the north and west meet the former district border between the district of Jerichower Land in the north and the former district of Anhalt-Zerbst in the south, at the same time the border of the districts of Loburg and Zeppernick. In the east, the protected area extends to the Biederitz – Altengrabow railway line, which runs north-south, and the outskirts of Bomsdorf . The towns of Loburg, Padegrim and Zeppernick are located on the southern edge, although some of them are largely spared. The delimitation of areas also applies to the location of Wendgräben , but not to Wendgräben Castle , the Eckebusch settlement and the Heidesegen desert .

history

On August 5, 2003 the ordinance of the district of Anhalt-Zerbst on the landscape protection area Loburger Vorfläming was drawn up by the then district administrator Holger Hövelmann . When it was published in the Official Gazette of the Anhalt-Zerbst district, the aforementioned ordinance came into force on October 2, 2003. After the dissolution of the district of Anhalt-Zerbst at the end of June 30, 2007, the landscape protection area ordinance was confirmed by the district of Jerichower Land on December 20, 2010 and thus became a new district law.
