State election in Lippe 1904

The state elections in Lippe took place in November and December 1904 . The 21 members of the Lippe Landtag were elected .

General

The elections were held on December 1st for the second grade and on December 2nd for the third grade. The first class MPs were elected on November 30th. The runoff elections took place on December 24th, 15th, 17th and 19th. During the electoral period up to 1908, the following new elections took place:

  • February 28, 1905: Sixth constituency, third class
  • September 22, 1905: Seventh constituency, second class
  • October 10, 1905: Seventh constituency, second class, runoff election
  • 1906: First constituency, first class B
  • January 24, 1906: First constituency, second class
  • February 10, 1906: First constituency, second class, runoff election
  • April 24, 1906: Seventh constituency, second class
  • May 15, 1906: Seventh constituency, second class, runoff
  • May 8, 1908: Second constituency, second class

21 MPs were elected in three classes of seven MPs each. The first class was made up of the most highly taxed citizens. In the first class, those who paid at least 90 marks in property tax were eligible to vote in subgroup A. This sub-group elected five MPs in two constituencies. Subgroup B comprised those who paid at least 180 marks in income tax and elected two MPs in two constituencies. The second class was made up of taxpayers with property and income tax of at least 36 marks, the third class all other eligible voters. The 2nd and 3rd class voted in seven one-person constituencies each.
