Lanei Chapman

Lanei Chapman (born January 23, 1973 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress who was famous for her role as fighter pilot Lt. Vanessa Damphousse is best known in the military science fiction series Space 2063 .

Life

Chapman graduated from Dartmouth College , Hanover , New Hampshire with a degree in Spanish. She made her television debut at the age of thirteen in a commercial for Kentucky Fried Chicken . She later became a kindergarten teacher and actress, but chose the latter career. She made her debut in a science fiction series as Ensign Sariel Rager in Spaceship Enterprise - The Next Century (1991-1992). She gained fame in 1995 through her role as fighter pilot Lt. Vanessa Damphousse in the military science fiction series Space 2063 . Other television series roles she impersonated include Melanie Jones in The Secrets of Lake Success (1993) and Winnie Van Exel in For All Cases, Amy (2001-2002). She was also seen in several movies, such as 2001 as Merrill Jennings in Jerry Zucker comedy Rat Race - Der nackte Wahnsinn .
