Jan Ehrhardt from the website laut.de rated Long Live Death with four out of a possible five points. The album gives “Casper's innermost expression, lyrics and melody depict his personality. It captivates with its diversity, with a mélange of the most diverse influences, turns and dedications ”. The songs “ Everything is enlightened or the punk where the wild maggots dig ” are highlighted as “highlights”. The work is “perhaps not Casper's most emotional album. Not even the most true to the line. But it's the most honest. This is exactly where his raison d'être lies. "

Skinny from rap.de also rated the album positively. Long live death provides “an interesting overall picture” from “wildly collected genre influences”. The individual songs interlocked “uniformly without showing any great similarities”. The rapper has mastered his craft and plays "lyrically in the absolute top league".

Daniel Fersch from MZEE.com even drew the conclusion that this Casper album was "the greatest and most powerful work of his entire career". He also explained, “The fear of the inevitable in the heart, the musician takes his listener by the hand and celebrates life because of this fear. Death as a drive for life. All the horror and hatred - in and around us - as inspiration for beautiful music. "

At the 2018 Echo Awards, the album was nominated nationally in the Critics Award category, but was defeated by Haiyti's Montenegro Zero .
