The long mountain is 106  m above sea level. NHN high elevation of the Calvör Mountains . It is located in the center of the municipality of Calvörde in the Saxony-Anhalt district of Börde .

The Lange Berg rises in the northern part of the Calvörder Mountains. It lies between the villages of Velsdorf in the north, Calvörde in the east, Böddensell in the south, Grauingen in the west-southwest and Wegenstedt in the west. To the northeast is the Strahlberg ( 83.4  m ), south-southeast the Mörderberg ( 116.8  m ), south the Blocksberg ( 112.9  m ), west-southwest the Reuterberg ( 87.1  m ), northwest the Saalberg ( 86.7  m) ) and north-northwest of the Lauseberg ( 90.5  m ). To the south, the state road  24, which connects Wegenstedt with Calvörde, runs past the Langen Berg.

Natural allocation

The Lange Berg belongs in the natural spatial main unit group Weser-Aller-Flachland (No. 62), in the main unit East Brunswick Flatland (624) and in the subunit Obisfelder-Calvörde terminal moraine plates (624.5) to the natural area Calvörn Hügelland (624.53).

Description and history

The Lange Berg is mainly covered by coniferous forest. The route of the Wegenstedt – Calvörde railway once ran not far from the mountain . The village of Andorf , which is now desolate, was once not far away. Today the Lange Berg is known for its natural toboggan runs, these are mainly used by the residents of the surrounding area.
