Lanhélin ( Breton : Lanhelen ; Gallo : Lanhaélen ) is a village and a former French community with 972 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belonged to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Combourg . The inhabitants are called Lanhélinois .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen , Lanhélin and Tressé were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Mesnil-Roc'h and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen.

geography

Lanhélin is located about 28 kilometers south-southeast of Saint-Malo . Lanhélin is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Bonnemain in the north and northeast, Meillac in the south and east and Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen in the west.
