Laubachsmühle

The Laubach is a left , almost six kilometers long tributary of the Wied in the Neuwied district .

course

The source is about one kilometer northwest of Bonefeld at 354  m above sea level. NHN . The Ehlscheid open-air swimming pool is located on the upper reaches. The stream flows through the Laubach valley from the Ehlscheider Stock between Ehlscheid and Rengsdorf to the Neuwied district of Altwied . North of Melsbach there is a waterfall ("Laubach waterfall"). The Laubach flows about 500 m further on at 81  m above sea level. NHN into the Rhine tributary coming from the north there.

Others

At the mouth of the stream, the stream drives the water wheel of the Laubachsmühle , a powder mill from the middle of the 18th century. The building is now used as an excursion restaurant.

A short section of the Rheinsteig hiking trail runs through the Laubach valley .
