Lee Bryant

Lee Bryant (born August 31, 1945 in Manhattan , New York ) is an American actress .

Career

Bryant was best known to a large audience in 1980 through the impersonation of the hysterical airplane passenger Mrs. Hammen in the comedies The Incredible Journey in a Crazy Plane and its sequel, The Incredible Journey in a Crazy Spaceship (1982) directed by Jim Abrahams , David Zucker and Jerry Zucker ; in the key scene, her character experiences a hysterical attack and is slapped several times by various people.

She also played the wife of Sam Waterston in Peter Hyam's 1977 film Capricorn and the mother of Jennifer Westfeldt in the 2011 romantic comedy Friends with Kids .

Bryant has guest roles on a variety of television series. She played in TJ Hooker , Dr. med. Marcus Welby , Charlie's Angels , Kojak - Mission in Manhattan , Jack of Hearts with two ladies , Starsky & Hutch , Lou Grant , The Incredible Hulk , Chief Physician Dr. Westphall , The Model and the Snoop, and Alien Nation .
