Lee Young-jun (born January 3, 1991 ) is a South Korean ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Daemyung Killer Whales in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2017 .

Career

Lee Young-jun began his career as a hockey player on the Kyung-gi High School team . At the age of 18, he moved to Yonsei University for three years . In 2012 he was signed by Anyang Halla , one of the two South Korean teams in the Asia League Ice Hockey , and in 2014 he was elected “Young Player of the Year” in the Asia League Ice Hockey. He then moved to Korean league rivals High1 for a year . From 2015 to 2017 he played for the third Korean ALIH club Daemyung Sangmu and then switched to the new league Daemyung Killer Whales .

International

For South Korea, Kim Sang-wook took part in the junior division at the U18 World Championships 2009 and the U20 World Championship 2010 in Division II. With the South Korean student selection , he took part in the Winter Universiade 2011 in Erzurum , Turkey .

He made his debut in the Asian country's men's national team in the 2012/13 season. So far, he has participated in the World Championships in 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 , when the East Asians made it into the top division for the first time by finishing second behind Austria . In 2018 he played in the top division of the world championships as well as at the Olympic Winter Games in his own country.
