The Leipziger BC 1893 was a German football club from Leipzig-Lindenau that existed from 1893 to 1945. Alongside Lipsia Eutritzsch and Dresdner FC, the club was one of the oldest football clubs in Saxony. The LBC is one of the founding clubs of the DFB .

The Leipziger BC was founded in 1893 and initially acted in the championship of the Leipzig Ball Game Association, which was introduced in 1896 . Between 1897 and 1899 the LBC won the championship of the VLBV three times, but after differences with the VfB Leipzig , left the association prematurely.

With the founding of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs (VMBV) on December 26, 1900, the Gau Leipzig or north-west Saxony was created for the 1901/02 season , in which the clubs from Leipzig and the surrounding area and from neighboring Halle (Saale) are combined were. In the 1907/08 season the club failed to win the title again in the Gau Nordwestsachsen with 1: 6 at the clearly favored VfB Leipzig and played no role in the Leipzig championship alongside Eintracht Leipzig , Wacker Leipzig and FC Sportfreunde Leipzig .

During the First World War , the club formed a war sports community with Olympia Leipzig and appeared until 1918 under the name SG LBC Olympia 1896 . On a sporting level, the Leipzig BC achieved no more success in Central German football in the following period, and any participation in the Gauliga Sachsen did not take place.

In 1945 the club was prematurely withdrawn from gaming operations and dissolved. A new establishment was not carried out.
