Lena Ottens (born April 15, 1997 in Everswinkel ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

2017 in Nuremberg

Ottens began her volleyball career in 2005 at BSV Ostbevern , with whom she played several times at the West German and German youth championships in the hall. In 2010 she started playing beach volleyball. With Lea Dreckmann , she was German U18 runner-up in 2013 and 2014, and in 2015 she reached third place in the U19-DM and U20-DM. With Leonie Klinke , Ottens became U18 European champion in Kristiansand, Norway in 2014 . At the side of Sandra Ittlinger , she reached fifth place at the U22 European Championship in Macedo de Cavaleiros, Portugal in 2015 . Ottens played with Stefanie Hüttermann on the national Smart Beach Tour in 2015 and 2016 , came fourth at the CEV Satellite tournament in Messina and ninth at the German championship in Timmendorfer Strand . Together with Leonie Körtzinger , she took third place at the U20 DM in 2016 and at the Smart Beach Cup in Duisburg in 2017. In 2017 Ottens played alongside Anika Krebs on the Smart Beach Tour. Ottens / Krebs finished fifth in the CEV Satellite tournament in Ljubljana and ninth in the German championship .

After a shoulder operation in December 2017, Ottens was out for the entire 2018 season. In 2019 she played twice on the World Tour with Leonie Klinke and later on the Techniker Beach Tour with Hannah Ziemer . In 2020 Klinke / Ottens qualified for the German championship via the Comdirect Beach Tour 2020 .
