Lengers is a district of Heringen (Werra) in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in East Hesse .

Geographical location

Lengers is located in East Hesse, south of the main town on the Werra . State road 3172 runs through the village .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1402 with the place name Lengerichs .

On December 31, 1970, Lengers was incorporated into the municipality of Heringen (Werra) as part of the regional reform in Hesse . As part of the regional reform in Hesse, Lengers was incorporated on December 31, 1970 on a voluntary basis.
