Lennart Elimä (born June 25, 1954 in Sweden) is a former Swedish ski jumper .
Career
Elimä, who started for the Koskullskulle AIF association , made his international debut at the 1973 Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf . In individual flying he reached 41st place with Gari Napalkow tied with points . At the end of the year Elimä jumped as part of the Four Hills Tournament 1973/74 . However, after he did not get above 66th place in any of the jumping competitions, he finally finished the tour only in 71st place overall. At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in 1974 in Falun , Elimä landed 21st on the normal hill after jumps on 81 and 79.5 meters.
At the Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 Elimä achieved his best individual tour result with 42nd place on the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck . In the end, too, he achieved his best overall result with overall rank 51.
At the Swedish Championships in 1977 he won the Swedish Championships for the first time with the team.
With the Four Hills Tournament 1976/77 Elimä played his last Four Hills Tournament . As 45th in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he was once again among the top 50. In the end, he reached 53rd place in the tour's overall ranking.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1978 he finished 21st after jumping from the large hill, tied with German Peter Leitner . When jumping on the normal hill, he landed at 82 and 83 meters and achieved his only international top 10 result in tenth place. In the team competition, the Swedish team led by Elimä, Seppo Reijonen , Jan Holmlund and Odd Brandsegg took sixth place.
Weeks after the World Cup, Elimä won the team competition for the second time in a row at the Swedish Championships. For the first time he was also successful in individual jumping. It remained his only single title. In 1979 Elimä won the third consecutive championship title with the team.
Elimäs brother Kurt was also successful as a ski jumper.
