Leo Baeck Prize

The Leo Baeck Prize is the highest award given by the Central Council of Jews in Germany .

Founded in 1956, it has been given annually since 1957 in memory of the Jewish scientist and Rabbi Leo Baeck . This award honors personalities who have made an outstanding contribution to the Jewish community in Germany. The Leo Baeck Prize is endowed with € 10,000.
