Leo Fiederer (born April 4, 1897 in Fürth ; † October 11, 1946 ) was a German football player . He is considered one of the first great all-round players in Germany , as he was versatile, as a striker , center runner or also as a defender .

Career

Fiederer played in Fürth from 1907 to 1920 before he moved to the Ruhr area . He started at FC Schneidig Fürth at the age of ten and moved out of adolescence in 1917 to join the first team, for which he played until 1919.

After a one-month interlude in the football department of TV 1860 Fürth in 1919, he moved to SpVgg Fürth and was used in the South German Football Association in the regional top division, the Northern Bavarian Regional League ; in 14 point games he scored eleven goals. In the following season he played only eight point games, in which he contributed to second place with two goals. As defending champions, his team was automatically qualified for participation in the final round of the German Championship in 1920 . He denied that on May 16, 1920 7: 0 won quarterfinal against VfTuR 1889 M.Gladbach , wherein for one the gate to him: 0 succeeded in the sixth minute, on May 30, 1920 4: 0 won semifinals in United Breslauer Sportfreunde and the final against 1. FC Nürnberg, which was lost 2-0 in Frankfurt am Main on June 13, 1920 .

The season 1920/21 to 1921/22 he played in the West German game association for Duisburger SpV in Gau Berg-Mark , in whose district league Duisburg he and the team promptly emerged as champion, the championship Gau Berg-Mark through the 4: 3 victory over the Cronenberger SC , as well as the final round of the West German Championship .
