Leolima ( tetum for five villages ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Balibo ( municipality of Bobonaro ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Leolima had an area of ​​54.76 km². Now it is 60.06 km². The Suco is located in the northeast of the Balibo administrative office. In the south are the Sucos Leohito and Balibo Vila and in the west Sanirin . In the north it borders on Leolima of the Suco Aidabaleten , in the northeast on Hataz , in the east on Ritabou and in the southeast on Tapo / Memo (all in the administrative office of Atabae ). The river Nunura forms the border to Tapo / Memo and Ritabou . The river Laecouken flows into it, which rises in Balibo Vila and forms part of the border with this Suco. It separates the south-east of Leolima from the rest of the Suco. The river Mukuki rises in the border area to Hataz , which then follows the border to Nunura.

The village of Diruana is on the north bank of the Laecouken , to the south of the river are the villages of Fiuren and Sosoana on the overland road from Batugade to Maliana and the village of Nunura ( Kemak for " banyan tree ") in the southern tip of the Sucos on the river of the same name . At Sosoana there is a bridge over the Nunura. The village of Sulilako is located in the north-east corner of Leolima . In the center are the villages Faturui ( Fatu Rui ), Duaderoc ( Duaderok ) and Dualanok and further to the northwest the places Taumrian , Oetapo , Semautleten and Datolia . To the north is the village of Goubin . Diruana has a primary school.

The four Aldeias Bour , Duaderoc , Faturui and Raifatuk are located in Leolima .

Residents

Leolima has 2210 inhabitants (2015), of which 1159 are men and 1051 women. The population density is 36.8 inhabitants / km². There are 484 households in the Suco. About 95% of the population name Kemak as their mother tongue. Tetum Prasa and a small minority speak Bekais below 5% .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Adão was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Marselino Mau Mori Magno won .

A reforestation project is being carried out in Leolima.
