Leonora Armellini

Leonora Armellini (born June 25, 1992 in Padua ) is an Italian pianist .

Life

Leonora Armellini started playing the piano at the age of four. At first she was tutored by Laura Palmieri . In 2009 she graduated from the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome with Sergio Perticarolimit with distinction. She then studied at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg with Lilya Zilberstein and attended master classes with u. a. Marian Mika , Pietro De Maria , Elisso Wirsaladse , Jeffrey Swann , Claudio Martinez Mehner and Matti Raekallio . In addition, she studied composition at the “C. Pollini ”in Padua with Giovanni Bonato .

Appearances

Leonora Armellini has performed in the most prestigious concert halls around the world, e.g. B. in the Sala Santa Cecilia in Rome, in the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, in the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, in the Teatro Piccinni in Bari, in the Salle Cortot in Paris and - at the age of 17 - in the Carnegie Hall in New York, and has her skills as a soloist a. a. together with the orchestra of the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Trieste, the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra, the orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice, the Kiev Chamber Orchestra and the Ukrainian National Orchestra under conductors such as Claudio Scimone , Zoltán Peskó , Anton Nanut , Alexander Rabinowitsch-Barakowsky , Damian Iorio , Daniele Giorgi , Giordano Bellincampi , Christopher Franklin , Corrado Rovaris , Maximilian Warm , Raffaele Napoli and Emilian Madey .

She is also dedicated to chamber music, u. a. together with Jeffrey Swann , Sonig Tchakerian , Laura Marzadori and the Trio Broz .

Awards

Leonora Armellini won a. a. In 2009 first prize at the international "Camillo Togni" competition in Brescia and in 2010 a special prize at the international Chopin competition in Warsaw.

Radio and television

She has been involved in television programs for national and regional broadcasters and gave a. a. a solo recital as part of the “Sunday Concerts in the Quirinale” live in Italy on Radio 3 .

Discography

Leonora Armellini has u. a. recorded both Chopin concerts with the “Padua and Veneto Orchestra” under Anton Nanut and Alexander Rabinovich-Barakosky for the Velut Luna Recording Company.
