Interior view of the memorial chapel

The memorial chapel in Unterlesach was built after a vow in the flood years of 1965/66 and takes the rank of a small village church. It was built according to plans by Paul Illmer and has a high facade with a bell tower. The chapel has an interior which, after being slightly tapered, merges into a bluntly angled choir . The front of the chapel is decorated with a crucifix and several figures in popular, baroque design. In addition to St. John of Nepomuk (patron against water hazards) and the church patron Kilian, there is also a protective coat Madonna (1977) by the Kals sculptor Hans Unterweger.
