Lesznowola is a village in the powiat Piaseczyński in the Masovian Voivodeship , Poland . It is also the seat of the rural community of the same name ( gmina wiejska ).

Lesznowola is located about 36 km south of Warsaw on the Jeziorka River.
history
The first written mention of Lesznowola comes from 1471. In 1497 Konrad III Rudy transferred the village to his wife Anna Radziwiłłówna . In 1526 the village fell to the Polish crown. In the course of the third division of Poland , Lesznowola fell to Prussia. In 1826 the place came under Russian rule. In 1838, when the estate was separated from the village of Lesznowola, three new villages, Janczewicze, Nowa Wola and Iwiczna, were created. In 1848 it had 1722 inhabitants, this year the village of Lesznowola and a school are mentioned for the first time. In 1867 the community was dissolved. In 1923 a new one-class school started operations. Between 1947 and 1955 a new school was built in the village. 1973 Lesznowola became a municipality again.
From 1975 to 1998 the village belonged to the Warsaw Voivodeship .

The coat of arms of the municipality consists of two parts on a golden background. A green dragon is depicted on the left. This goes back to the principality of Czersk . The right side shows a woman in a red dress, in her right hand she holds three ears of wheat that symbolize agriculture. In her left hand she holds a cadre .

The municipality has an area of 69.00 km². 74% of the municipal area is used for agriculture, 13% is covered with forest.
history
In 1942, 223 prisoners from the Pawiak prison in Warsaw were shot in the forest near Magdalenka . 1988–1989 preparatory talks for the round table in Magdalenka took place between the then Interior Minister Czesław Kiszczak and Lech Wałęsa .
