Li Fengbao ( Chinese  李鳳 苞 , Pinyin Lĭ Fèngbāo ; * 1834 in Xianghua, Chongming , Chinese Empire ; † August 7, 1887 ) was a Chinese diplomat .

Li Fengbao was envoy to Berlin from November 2, 1878 to October 27, 1884 . About a reception that Wilhelm I gave in the Berlin City Palace on December 8, 1878 for the ambassadors accredited in Prussia, Li reported that the emperor was pleased about the good relationship with the Chinese who were staying here and that Augusta von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach noticed how extremely elegant and beautiful the Chinese clothes look.

During Li's tenure as envoy in Berlin, Li Hongzhang sought to acquire two ironclad ships for China and gave the envoy instructions accordingly. Li Fengbao ordered two armored ships from AG Vulcan Stettin . After the Sino-French War , the Dingyuan and her sister ship, the Zhenyuan , were delivered. The Friedrich Krupp AG supported the sales of brown prismatic powder the powder factory Heidemann and Duttenhofer . Li Fengbao's duties also included looking after a group of 30 Chinese students whom Shen Baozhen had sent from the Foochow Arsenal to Europe for further training in 1875 . Chen Bozhang was one of these students. He invested in brown prismatic powder, went into debt, received no financial support from Li Fengbao, and died of suicide .

In September 1884, Li Fengbao was appointed envoy to Paris , where he was accredited until early 1885.
