The album was released under the Warner Music Group music label and distributed through Universal Music Publishing . This live album is an acoustic-style concert recording. On the black and white cover of the album - in addition to the artist name and song title - you can see an excerpt from Süggeler's live recording. The recordings took place on November 8, 2013 during an "MTV Road to Amsterdam" concert in the Trinity Church in Wuppertal . In an interview, Frida Gold said that since the beginning of their band history it was an absolute goal and an urgent project to make an acoustic album. They were very happy and honored that the "MTV Road to Amsterdam" stopped at them.

reception
To date, Love is My Religion Live + Acoustically has not been able to achieve its own chart placement, which is because the album is too similar to the previous studio album Love is My Religion and therefore all sales are added to the predecessor.
