Show me how you dance is a song by German dance pop - band Frida Gold . The track is the first single from their debut album Juwel .
Creation and artwork
The song was written by Alina Süggeler and Andreas Weizel and produced by Carsten Heller. The single was mastered at Monoposto Mastering in Düsseldorf under the direction of Michael Schwabe, the single was mixed by Moritz Enders. The single was released under the Warner Music Group music label . The recordings were made in the Danish recording studio Aarhus Lydstudie. On the cover of the maxi single - in addition to the artist and the song title - a photo of the band from the accompanying music video can be seen. The cover picture was shot by the German photographer Alexander Gnädinger.
Publication and promotion
The first release of Show me how you dance was on October 15, 2010 as a promo single in Germany. The official maxi single was released on November 18, 2010 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland . The single is available for download and as a physical sound carrier. In addition to the radio version , the maxi single also contains two remix versions , the music video and a making-of of the music video of Show Me How You Dance , as well as the song Aufgewacht (Lovesound Mix) , as B-side . In addition to the regular maxi single, there is also a download EP that includes an additional remix.

In order to promote the song, there followed, among other things, live appearances at the ESC Party 2011 , at The Dome and MTV Home . In November 2010, VIVA voted Frida Gold with the single Show me how you dance as the “WOW act of the month” and thus you could be seen in almost all commercial breaks for almost a month.
background information
After the previously published Frida (EP) and a collaboration with Bosse , which resulted in the single Sommer lang , Show me how you dance is Frida Gold's first official single release.
At the beginning of 2010, Frida Gold shot a commercial for the mobile phone service "MTV Mobile" together with MTV . The commercial was shown daily during MTV's commercial breaks for about half a year and was accompanied by Show me how you dance . In 2011 the radio station N-Joy organized a big dance event together with Frida Gold under the motto Show me how you dance . Listeners should dance to a newly designed choreography, film themselves and upload the video to MyVideo . Germany's largest dance video was created from the clips sent in. The choreography came from the Hildesheim hip-hop world champions Kim and Tessa Achtermann.

The music video for Show me how you dance premiered on September 15, 2010 on Myspace . You can see Frida Gold singing the song on different film sets and in different clothes . The total length of the video is 3:17 minutes. To date, the video has over three million clicks on YouTube (as of May 2014). Directed by Alexander Gnädinger, it was produced by Studio Gnädinger. In 2011 the music video was nominated for an ECHO Pop in the category “Best Video (national)”.
