Teresa Jessen is married to Richard Jessen, a work-loving builder. He never has time for her and often prefers to excuse this with an expensive gift than with his presence. When he leaves her at dinner for a business meeting on her birthday, she's enough. She packs her things and simply travels to Usedom . She finds work in a boarding house and falls in love with the charming boat builder Sebastian. Only after some time does Richard go to Usedom to get his wife back. But she doesn't want to. She is enjoying her new life. Since Richard does not give up, he rents a room in the pension and fights for Theresa's heart from then on.
