Favorite farm has been part of the municipality of Dummerstorf in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany) since June 7, 2009 .
geography
Favoritehof is located 15 kilometers southeast of Rostock , on a ground moraine between the Warnow tributaries Kösterbeck and Zarnow and the upper Recknitz . The settlement area of the place is very relaxed. A large nature reserve extends south of Favoritehof , stretching across the low-lying forests to the Recknitz Valley.
The districts of Godow, Petschow and Wolfsberg belonged to the formerly independent community.
Attractions
- Late Romanesque or early Gothic village church Petschow as a field stone church from the 13th century with a single -bay choir from around 1260, later two-bay , single-nave nave and tower from the 15th century; There are considerable vault paintings from the 14th century.
- Favorite farm house: One-storey, 11-axle, brick building from the mid-19th century; Good u. a. of the Hillmann families (1807) and von Arnim (1857 – early 20th century).
