List of grape varieties

Liliorila is a white wine variety . It is a new breed by INRA Bordeaux ( Institut National de la Recherche en Agronomie ) Sud-Ouest in southwest France. Under the direction of the Basque Durquéty, the grape varieties Baroque and Chardonnay were crossed in 1956 .

Pierre Marcel Durquety realized a number of new breeds between 1950 and 1980, of which 7 grape varieties received plant variety protection: the 4 red varieties Arinarnoa , Egiodola , Ekigaïna , Semebat and the 3 white varieties Arriloba , Liliorila and Perdea .

In France , a few hectares of vineyards are planted with Liliorila. The grape variety produces a fruity wine that is often lacking in acidity . It ripens almost at the same time as the Gutedel . Due to its susceptibility to Botrytis cinerea , sweet liqueur wines can also be made from Liliorila . Smallest stocks are also known in Switzerland (0.08 hectares, status 2009, source: Office fédéral de l'agriculture OFAG).
