Lilium primulinum is a plant type from the genus of lilies ( Lilium ) in the Asian section .

description

Lilium primulinum is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 70 to 200 centimeters. The bulbs are approximately round, composed of white lanceolate scales and reach a diameter of 3.5 to 6 cm.

The stem is rough on the surface. The numerous leaves , freely distributed around the stem, are lanceolate to oblong-round, between 3 and 12 centimeters long and 8 to 14 millimeters wide. They are bald and three-nerved underneath.

It blooms from July to October with four to nine flowers nodding in a panicle . The six folded back bracts (tepals) are oblong-round to oblong-round inverted-lanceolate and 3 to 9 centimeters long and about 1 to 1.7 centimeters wide. The inner bracts are slightly wider than the outer ones. The basic color of the flowers is primrose yellow or greenish yellow and undotted in the nominate form . The anthers are 10 to 12 mm long and dark brown, the pollen are vermilion, and the filaments are 14 to 55 mm long and green with a sticky surface. The stylus is 4.2 to 5 cm long and the scar is 1.5 cm to 1.7 cm thick. The nectaries are not papillary . The seeds mature in elongated, round, brown seed pods that are about 4 to 7 cm long and 28 to 30 mm wide .

distribution

Lilium primulinum grows on grassy slopes or in mountain forests at altitudes from 1200 to 2700 m above sea level.

The nominate form can only be found in Myanmar , while the varieties are also common in the provinces of Sichuan , Guizhou and Yunnan in the People's Republic of China and Thailand .
