Linas & Simona is a popular pop duo from Lithuania . The two represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul .

Linas Adomaitis (born March 10, 1976), known in Lithuania as Adoms , comes from a musical family. His father sent him to a renowned music school at an early age and later he studied violin at the Lithuanian Music Academy. In 2000 he started a solo career and released his first album Q-Ba-Ba in 2001 under the name Adoms , on which songs with Simona can also be heard.

Simona Jakubėnatė (* 1984) took part in over 15 major music festivals before taking part in the 2002 Fizz Contest , a kind of Germany looking for a superstar . She didn't win this competition, but met Linas and started making music with him.

In 2004 Linas & Simona performed with the song What's Happened to Your Love? participated in the Lithuanian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. There it came to a scandal: The band Amberlife , favored by the fans , only came third in the preliminary round. Rumors surfaced that the election was rigged. However, the television station confirmed Linas & Simona as the winners of the preliminary round, so that the two were allowed to travel to Istanbul as representatives of Lithuania.

In Istanbul they had to start in the semifinals, because Aivaras Stepukonis had only reached 23rd place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn . Because of this, Lithuania had to take a compulsory break in 2003. At the semifinals they reached What's Happened to Your Love? only 16th place and couldn't qualify for the final. Linas & Simona then recorded the single Fight for Love and Freedom with the Ukrainian winner of the competition, Ruslana , which appeared on the album I Love U released in 2005 .
