Andrius Pojavis

Andrius Pojavis (born November 25, 1983 in Jurbarkas ) is a Lithuanian pop musician .

Life

His father Petras Pojavis (Pajaujis) comes from Puńsk . He played the harmonica in the village band .

After graduating from high school, Andrius completed a bachelor's degree in history at the Lithuanian University of Education in Vilnius and became a teacher. He then worked for one year from 2009 to 2010 at the J. Baltrušaitis School in Skirsnemunė as a teacher.

In his youth he sang in the band "Mis Sheep" and then with "Hetero". In 2012 he recorded his debut album Aštuoni (Eng. Eight ) in Milan . The first single from it, Traukiniai , was already a small hit in his homeland. After he won the Lithuanian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 , he performed his self-composed song Something in Malmö . He reached the final and ended up in 22nd place.

Pojavis is married to Isabella Merola, with whom he has two daughters. The family lives in Milan , Italy .
