Evelina Sašenko ( Polish Ewelina Saszenko ; born July 26, 1987 in Rūdiškės , Rajongemeinde Trakai ) is a Polish - Lithuanian jazz and pop singer .

biography

Evelina Sašenko was born in Lithuania and lives there. She grew up bilingual and speaks Polish and Lithuanian . In her youth she attended the Polish-Lithuanian school. Her career began in her childhood, she won the Dainų Dainele Festival and in 2009 took part in the LTV opera competition Triumfo arka , through which she became known in Lithuania. After she reached third place in the national selection of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010, she won the preliminary round a year later and represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with her song C'est ma vie (Eng. "This is my life") . It started in the first semifinals of the ESC on May 10th and made it into the final four days later. There she finished 19th with 63 points.

In 2011 she completed a bachelor's degree in jazz at the Music and Theater Academy of Lithuania .
