Jurijus Veklenko

Jurijus Veklenko (* 1990 in Klaipėda ) is a Lithuanian pop - singer . He represented his country at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest .

Life

Veklenko completed his bachelor's degree in Recreation and Tourism at the University of Klaipėda in the Lithuanian port city (Klaipėda). He lives in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . Here he initially worked as a call center operator and now as an IT specialist.

Music is his hobby. Veklenko also took part in the Lithuanian national music projects such as Dainuoju Lietuvą , Lietuvos talentai and Lietuvos talentai (2nd season).

In 2013 and 2015 he was an accompanist for Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest .

After participating in the national selection of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 and 2014 , he won the preliminary round in 2019 and represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with his song Run with the Lions . He did not reach the final as eleventh in his semifinals.
