LT United (pronounced Lit United ) is a pop group consisting of six rock musicians who are very well known in Lithuania . LT United was formed in 2006 for the sole purpose of representing Lithuania in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest . The group received twice as many calls from Lithuanian TV viewers as they did for the second best candidate in Athens . The band performed there with their ironic song "We Are the Winners", the refrain of which heralded the inevitability of winning this title. The hall audience in Athens sometimes felt this as arrogant arrogance and greeted the group with a whistle concert and boos, which had already happened in the semifinals at the appearance of Icelander Silvia Night and is otherwise rather a rarity at the event. The title received 162 points and ended up in sixth place overall. This sixth place was the best place for Lithuania in this competition so far.
