Linc Milliman
Lincoln B. "Linc" Milliman (* around 1940) is an American jazz musician ( double bass , also tuba ) who works in the field of big band music and mainstream jazz .
Live and act
Millian belonged to the Maynard Ferguson Big Band from the early 1960s ; In 1969 he played in a duo with Marian McPartland ( Interplay ). In the following years he worked with Jack Maheu and the Mississippi Mudders, Don Ewell , Phil Wilson / Vic Dickenson , Lou Stein , Bill Watrous , Derek Smith , Butch Miles , George Masso as well as with Dick Meldonian & and The Jersey Swingers, in the 1980s - and in the 1990s also with Warren Vaché , Randy Sandke , Ken Peplowski , Marty Grosz , Scott Robinson , Johnny Blowers , Glenn Zottola and Carmen Leggio . In the field of jazz he was involved in 43 recording sessions between 1962 and 2010, most recently with Dan Barrett ( This Will Be My Shining Hour ). He was also employed as a theater musician on Broadway in New York in the 1990s and performed with the pianist Russ Kasoff at the Knickerbocker Bar & Grill jazz club.
