Michael "Mike" Moh (born August 19, 1983 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American actor , stunt performer and martial artist .

Life

Mike Moh was born in the city of Atlanta, Georgia , USA . His father did military service for a while in the South Korean Army , where he was also involved in hand-to-hand combat training for soldiers. The family later moved to St. Paul , Minnesota, where Moh attended high school and later the University of Minnesota . He graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing , but then decided to pursue a career in show business.

He was mainly inspired by Jackie Chan , with whom he worked as a stuntman on the 2006 film Rob-B-Hood when he lived in Hong Kong for some time . He later moved to Los Angeles , where he was initially booked for commercials before guest roles on US series such as Dr. House , 2 Broke Girls , Perception , Castle or True Blood . After living in Los Angeles for around a decade, Moh and his family moved to Waunakee , Wisconsin . In 2013 he opened a martial arts school there called Moh's Martial Arts .

In 2014, Moh starred in the role of Ryu in the mini-web series Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist , which is based on the popular Street Fighter game series. From 2015 to 2017 he appeared as Steve Cho in the series Empire . In 2018 she played a supporting role in the short-lived series Marvel's Inhumans . In spring 2019 he took on the role of martial arts icon Bruce Lee in Quentin Tarantino's drama - crime film adaptation Once Upon a Time in Hollywood .

Moh is the wearer of the black belt in the martial art Taekwondo . In a Taekwondo school he also met his wife, Richelle Kondratowicz-Moh. Together they are parents of three children, two sons and a daughter.
