Lind ob Velden ( Slovene Lipa ob Vrbi ) is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Velden am Wörther See and a former municipality.
geography
Lind ob Velden is located in the Villacher Feld , which includes the city of Villach and some neighboring communities. In Zählsprengel Lind-Sun Valley , the third largest in the market town of Velden, lying next Lind ob Velden also the places Duel, Driving Village and Sun Valley.
History and infrastructure
Until 1866, Lind ob Velden was part of the large municipality of Velden , an earlier form of today's market town of Velden am Wörther See. From 1866 to 1902 the cadastral community belonged to the local community of Augsdorf. In the course of the division of the local community Augsdorf, Lind ob Velden was appointed a local community. In 1963 it was incorporated into what is now the market town of Velden am Wörther See.
The federal highway 83 connects Lind ob Velden via the junctions Wernberg and Velden West to the Süd Autobahn . The Lind-Rosegg stop is served every half hour on weekdays by S-Bahn trains. In the course of the timetable change in 2013, line 5329 was set up so that commuters from Sankt Jakob im Rosental and Rosegg can better reach the S-Bahn station.
