Lindhammarsmyr is a bog , nature reserve and Natura 2000 area on the Swedish island of Gotland .

location

Lindhammarsmyr is located in the parishes ( Swedish socks ) Butle and Vänge, 29 km southeast of Visby , eleven km south of Roma , 14 km northwest of Ljugarn , 20 km east of Klintehamn and 23 km north of Hemse .

Lindhammarsmyr is the second largest preserved bog on Gotland with an area of ​​110 hectares. Cranes breed in the bog and a special subspecies of grass snake , called Gotlandsnok , occurs here. The mountain sedge is often found in the surrounding forests, from which the yellow butterfly , which is under nature protection, benefits. The vegetation is otherwise dominated by stiff sedge , filamentous sedge and rush edge . Out in the bog, water appears on the surface. Marsh louse weed grows between the rush edge and between sedge sods there are fever clover , medium water hose and common water hose . At the edges of the moor, the gale bush dominates with occurrences of blue pipe grass , millet sedge , colored horsetail , true meadowsweet , bloodroot , hem sedge , narrow-leaved cottongrass and broadleaf cottongrass . In the southern parts of the moor, a nutrient-rich fen ( rikkärr in Swedish ) forms. Rust red head grows there . There is tree vegetation on the edges of the moor. There are also dioecious sedge and flea sedge . In the southwestern parts you can even Parnassia palustris , Mehlprimel , Common Butterwort , Ordinary Sims lily , Dactylorhiza incarnata ( Swedish blodnycklar ) dactylorhiza traunsteineri , mosquito Händelwurz and abundant marsh horsetail find.

In the rikkärr, southeast of the foothills of the moor to the northeast, there are the same orchids as in the rest of the moor and also fly ragweed . A rare white-flowered form occurs in the Traunsteiners orchid . In the northeast there is also an area with flat limestone rocks and in the damp cracks ( Swedish hällkar ) common pennywort , garlic germander , meadow knapweed and chives ( Swedish alvargräslök ) can be found.

Grabfeld Disrojr

In the northeastern part of the nature reserve there is the Disrojr burial ground, where Svartoxbär ( cotoneaster niger Fr. , Swedish svartoxbär ), rue and brown striped fern ( Swedish kalksvartbräken ) occur.
