Linus Mathes (born September 3, 1996 in Berlin , Germany ) is a German handball goalkeeper . His height is 1.93 m.

Mathes, who comes from Nordheim near Heilbronn , played handball in the youth team in Nordheim, Lauffen am Neckar and TV Flein , before joining SG BBM Bietigheim in 2012 in the B-youth group . In his youth, Mathes was appointed to the selection teams of the HVW and DHB . In Bietigheim he was used in two Bundesliga games in the 2014/15 season in addition to appearances in the A-youth and in the Württembergliga .

In the 2015/16 season Mathes moved to the upper division club SG H2Ku Herrenberg , but was still used with SG BBM Bietigheim with a second game right .

In summer 2016 Mathes moved from SG H2Ku Herrenberg to third division club TSB Heilbronn-Horkheim . The second game right was transferred from the then second division club SG BBM Bietigheim to the Bundesliga club TVB 1898 Stuttgart . For the 2017/18 season , the second game right was transferred from the TVB to Frisch Auf Göppingen . He has been under contract with third division Leichlinger TV since the 2019/20 season .

Mathes graduated from high schools I and II in Ellental in Bietigheim-Bissingen .
