Lise Gregory (born August 29, 1963 in Durban ) is a former professional South African tennis player from the 1980s and early 1990s.

Career

Gregory began her career at the University of Miami and was voted All-American during each of her four years . Together with her long-time doubles partner Ronnie Reis , with whom she later played partly in professional tennis on the WTA Tour , she won the ITA National Indoor Championship in 1986 .

Gregory achieved her greatest successes in doubles, in which she won seven titles on the WTA tour and seven titles in ITF tournaments. She achieved her best placement in doubles with world number 17 on April 8, 1991, after she celebrated her greatest success at the Grand Slam level with the quarter-finals at the Australian Open 1991 .

After her active career, she became a tennis coach at various US universities, including Florida State University and the University of North Carolina , and has received various awards during her work.
