List of Belgian chess players
The list of Belgian chess players contains chess players who are or were eligible to play for the Royal Belgian Chess Federation (French Fédération Royale Belge des Echecs ; Dutch Koninklijke Belgische Schaakbond ) and who meet at least one of the following conditions:
- Winner of one of the following FIDE titles: Grand Master , Honorary Grand Master , International Master , Grand Master of Women , International Master of Women;
- Holder of one of the following ICCF titles: Grand Master, Honored International Master, International Master, Grand Master of Women, International Master of Women;
- Winning a Belgian individual championship or individual championship of the Belgian Chess Federation (open class or competition for women);
General
In Nahschach, nine grandmasters, 27 international masters (including Anna Zozulia , the only woman who is also the women's grandmaster), one women's grandmaster and one international women's champion are eligible to play for the Belgian Chess Federation. Two grandmasters, two honorary grandmasters and two international champions have already passed away, three international champions and one international female champion are no longer eligible to play for the Belgian federation.
In correspondence chess, six Belgian players have acquired the title of Grand Master, eight that of an Honored International Master, 22 that of an International Master and two that of an International Master of Women. Of these, two Grand Masters, one Honored International Master and nine International Masters have already passed away. Albéric O'Kelly de Galway won the third World Correspondence Chess Championship.
The Belgian individual championship was played 95 times, the championship of the Belgian Chess Federation 47 times and the championship of women 61 times. The record champion is Albéric O'Kelly de Galway with 13 titles, the championship of the Belgian Chess Federation was won most often by Frits van Seters with nine titles and the women's competition by Louise Loeffler with six titles.

- Other associations : For players who were sooner or later eligible to play for at least one other association, this indicates these associations with the periods of eligibility to play (if known).
