List of the bishops of Fulham

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bishop of Fulham (English Bishop of Fulham ) is a 1926 created bishopric of the Anglican Church of England , which is named after the London borough of Fulham . As a suffragan bishop, the Bishop of Fulham is subordinate to the Bishop of London and does not have his own diocese .

Originally the Bishop of Fulham was responsible for the Anglican parishes in Northern and Central Europe ( Jurisdiction of North and Central Europe ), but in 1980 this jurisdiction was merged with the Diocese of Gibraltar to form the Diocese in Europe . Since then, the bishop has held the role of a so-called Provincial Episcopal Visitor (pastor for those parishes that reject women's ordination ) in the dioceses of London , Southwark and Rochester . After Bishop Broadhurst's retirement at the end of 2010, it was announced that the role of Provincial Episcopal Visitors would be taken over by the Bishop of Edmonton and that the Bishop of Fulham would in future support the Bishop of London in the Two Cities episcopal district within the Diocese of London as regional bishop .
