The following people were bishops of Hereford , England :
Putta is considered the first bishop of Hereford. In some sources, Magonset is also given as the first bishop. His term of office is said to have been from 670 to 676. Basically, the figures up to around 1050 are only vague, as the sources from this time only provide very unclear information. From 1535 the first bishops turned to the Reformation. In 1559 the last bishop belonged to the Roman Catholic Church , then to the Church of England :
