The Metropolitan Borough of Fulham was a district in the metropolitan area of ​​the British capital London with the status of a Metropolitan Borough . It existed from 1900 to 1965 and was located in the west of the former County of London .

history

Fulham was originally a Civil parish in the county of Middlesex . In 1834 Hammersmith was separated and went into business for itself. From 1855, the community belonged to the catchment area of ​​the Metropolitan Board of Works . In 1889 Fulham became part of the County of London, eleven years later it was converted into a Metropolitan Borough.

When Greater London was founded in 1965, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham was formed from the merger of the Metropolitan Boroughs of Fulham and Hammersmith .
