history

Paddington was originally a Civil parish in the county of Middlesex . From 1855, the community belonged to the catchment area of ​​the Metropolitan Board of Works . In 1889 Paddington became part of the County of London, and was converted into a Metropolitan Borough eleven years later.

At the foundation of Greater London in 1965, the Metropolitan Borough Paddington, formed from the merger St Marylebone and Westminster , the City of Westminster .
