From annexation to Prussia to 1879

With the annexation of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen to Prussia in 1849, the court organization was also adjusted. For the previous court structure, see List of Courts in the Principality of Hohenzollern-Hechingen and List of Courts in the Principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen . On January 1, 1852, a royal Prussian district court , the district court of Hechingen, was established. At the same time, district court commissions were set up in Gammertingen , Sigmaringen and Wald , and additional ones in Glatt and Haigerloch on September 1, 1854 .

The court of appeal was now the Arnsberg court of appeal . The highest court was the Prussian Supreme Tribunal .

The Spruch-Kollegium for agricultural affairs in Sigmaringen acted as a general commission .

From 1879

With the Reich Justice Acts, the uniform organization of the courts was also implemented in the Hohenzollern Lands. The competent higher regional court was the higher regional court in Frankfurt . On April 24, 1878, the Hechingen Regional Court was established for the Hohenzollernsche Lande in Hechingen . Five local courts were subordinate to this:

On April 1, 1923, the court association contract of 14/15 December 1922 between Prussia and Württemberg agreed that the Hechingen Regional Court should be subordinate to the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court . At the same time, the Württemberg district courts of Balingen and Rottweil were subordinated to the Hechingen district court.
