The following list contains the cultural monuments identified in the monument topography in the area of the city of Alsfeld , Vogelsbergkreis , Hesse .

Note: The order of the monuments in this list is based first on the districts and then on the address, alternatively it can also be sorted according to the name, the number assigned by the State Office for Monument Preservation or the construction time.

The basis is the publication of the Hessian list of monuments, which was created for the first time on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of September 5, 1986 and has been continuously updated since then.

The presence or absence of an object in this list does not provide legally binding information as to whether it is a cultural monument or not: This list may not reflect the current status of the official monument topography. This is available for Hessen in the corresponding volumes of the monument topography of the Federal Republic of Germany and on the Internet under DenkXweb - Kulturdenkmäler in Hessen (under construction). Even though these sources are updated by the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments in Hesse , they are not always up-to-date because there are always changes in the inventory of monuments.

Uncovered in 1959, renovation started on the left side. According to the latest findings, it was originally not a semi-detached house and had a two-story hall across the entire width of the house in the front part. The oldest existence in the form of a small 3-apsidal basilica proven by uncovering the foundations in 1971/72. An early Gothic basilica with a stretched but low choir and west tower was built around this in the late 13th century. In the late Gothic period from 1393 the choir was rebuilt in an elongated and much higher form. The planned new building of the nave did not take place, rather the existing basilica was redesigned into a kind of hall church in 1472 and later by raising and widening the aisles and breaking out high arcades.		13099 DDB
		Alsfeld, Kirchplatz 3 Location hall: 1, parcel: 632	The town's former schoolhouse was built in 1696 instead of a previous building from 1508. The famous Hessian school reformer Wilhelm Jakob Georg Curtmann was born in the current house on March 3, 1802 . At the age of 14 he started at the grammar school in Giessen, where the great talent was soon recognized. He passed his doctorate at the University of Giessen. Around 1435 an asymmetrical hall with a central and side aisle was added; no church tower (mendicant order).
